AFFIXUS Hip Fracture Nail System (Prod 11356)

About AFFIXUS Hip Fracture Nail System (Prod 11356)

The AFFIXUS™ Hip Fracture Nail System treats a wide range of proximal femoral fracture indications using a single set of user-friendly instruments, and combines the principles of a compression hip screw with the biomechanical advantages of an intramedullary nail. The double screw design provides improved resistance to cut-out and increased rotational stability over single lag screw systems. Manufactured from TiMAX™ anodized titanium alloy for high fatigue strength and optimal stress transfer, the nail can be used in conjunction with a single lag screw and/or an optional anti-rotation (AR) screw to maintain re-alignment of unstable fractures. The screws are closely spaced so most patient anatomies can accommodate both if required. Additionally, the pre-loaded set screw provides the option of locking the proximal screw(s).
