HAnano Surface (Prod 150212)

About HAnano Surface (Prod 150212)

The HAnano Surface is a 20 nm thin coating based on nanocrystalline Hydroxyapatite (HA) particles, the main constituent of bone and teeth. The HAnano Surface particles have the same shape, size and crystallinity as human bone, resulting in a super-hydrophilic surface. This allows for a more intimate interaction between implant and the body, thereby accelerating osseointegration and providing stronger anchoring to the bone. Pre-clinical studies have shown that the HAnano Surface increases the anchoring strength of PEEK implants with more than 81% after 3 weeks of healing. This indicates that the healing time required prior to loading of the implant can be reduced and patients may recover lost body functions faster. All commercial implants, regardless of material and structure, can be coated with the HAnano Surface.
