Dual surface articulation between the polyethylene (UHMWPE) insert and the femoral and tibial components that allows the forces of gait to be borne by the soft tissues in a similar way to the normal knee

The Dual Bearing Knee System (DBK®) was developed in association with Osaka University Medical School and MMT Co. Ltd Japan (Kneeopus System) and has already been in clinical use since 1998.
