About BOX Total Ankle Replacement (Prod 7929)

The BOX (Bologna Oxford) Total Ankle Replacement is one of a new generation of 3 component meniscal total ankle replacements. It was developed in association with the Instituti Ortopedico Rizzoli, Bologna, Italy (Prof S Gianini, Prof F Catani, Dr A Leardini) and Oxford University (Prof J O'Connor). The BOX ankle is CE marked and used clinically in pilot centres in Italy. Ongoing research activities include fluoroscopy studies, patient gait analysis before and after surgery and finite element analysis during stance phase of gait.
