Stainless steel tool used for Luque wire loops. Uses technology originally developed in the aeronautics industry for quick and easy wire placement. Designed to provide fast, smooth and even twisting of wire, saving time in the OR.
"Captain Hook" Wire Twister: Easy method of twisting surgical wire by slipping both closed ends over the hook of the wire twister and tightening down on the two wires to be used at each level along the spinal column. Used with Luque closed bead loops (1292-60/63) or single wires with eyelets (1292-80/83).
Also used with cerclage wires in trauma.
