Soffix Pleth (Prod 2809)

About Soffix Pleth (Prod 2809)

This technique uses a loop braid consisting of four strands of semitendinosus and gracilis to form a single autologous ligament substitute. The strength of the braid is in excess of the normal anterior cruciate ligament but owing to its braiding, its stiffness is similar. The braiding likewise increases the ease of bony tunnel fixation and allows a more even distribution of the tensile forces throughout the range of knee movement to be distributed through the individual tendon components.
