Triceps Tendon (Prod 2806)

About Triceps Tendon (Prod 2806)

This artificial triceps tendon is used in restoration of extension of the elbow in tetraplegic patients, by transfer of the posterior part of the deltoid to the triceps tendon. This interposition artificial tendon is intended to replace the free grafts from the toe extensors used in the original technique. This artificial tendon consists of three parts: 1. Open cone which receives the distal end of the posterior part of the deltoid harvested in the region of the "Deltoid V", at the lateral aspect of the humerus. 2. Flat braided section available in three different lengths corresponding to the three tendon sizes (size 1 = 6cm, size 2 = 8cm, size 3 = 10cm). 3. Two distal strips for suturing to the triceps tendon, at the posterior aspect of the elbow.
