Also known as the Trojan Screw, this bioabsorbable bone fixation screw is made of an absorbable biopolymer reinforced with nano diamonds with mechanical properties comparable to Titanium and stainless steel.
Features:
- As strong as steel but absorbable so does not have to be removed
- Cannulated so can be inserted over a pin
- Porous so the hollow cavity of the screw can be loaded with a variety of therapeutic agents or drugs for delivery directly to the bone (thus, Trojan Screw).
