Enables the surgeon to construct a circumferential compression stitch, creating uniform tissue apposition and compression around the entire tear, without penetrating the capsule wall
- Each pass is advanced independently from the tibial surface to the femoral surface of the meniscus, giving the surgeon the ability to place stitches tailored to the injury
- Simple stitches may be used when treating horizontal cleavage tears, more complex patterns can provide cross-fiber tissue purchase in radial or root tear repairs
- Indicated for passing suture through soft tissue in orthopaedic surgery.
