The MCD cervical disc device is an alternative to arthrodesis for management of disc degeneration and herniation in the cervical spine. The advantages of this system include preservation of normal motion and biomechanics in the previous cervical spine and reduction of adjacentsegment degeneration. Other potential advantages include faster return to normal activity and elimination of the need for bone graft and associated donor site morbidity. The physical structure of the device consists Titanium Alloy inferior and superior pieces, introducing the mobility with Titanium Nitride (TiN) coated part included to inferior piece.
