The Metal-on-Metal™ Acetabular Liner showed a significant decrease in wear rate in a wear rate test of metal-on-metal vs. alumina-on-polyethylene. The wear of the metal-on-metal articulation was significantly decreased; this reduction was even more substantial when compared to the wear rate of the current standard of metal-on-polyethylene.
