About Medullary Plug (Prod 11822)
This medullary plug is manufactured from ultra-high-molecular polyethylene (UHMWPE according to ISO 5834 1+2). Due to its high flexibility and special laminated form, the PE plugs adapts to the inside form of the diaphysis. The plates are distributed in segments and, together with the encasing form, provide an excellent press fit.
All medullary plugs are sterile packed. The portfolio contains 4 different sizes (S, M, L and XL).
The size can be determined intraoperatively with the measuring stars. The selected medullary plug is screwed on the measuring impactor and is inserted at the precise height (about 1 cm below the tip of the prosthesis).
