Balloon Carpal Tunnelplasty (BCTP) (Prod 1407319)

About Balloon Carpal Tunnelplasty (BCTP) (Prod 1407319)

Balloon Carpal Tunnelplasty (BCTP) is a new surgical approach which utilizes an inflatable directional balloon that, when injected with sterile saline via 10 cc syringe, will elevate and stretch the transverse carpal ligament (TCL); taking pressure off the median nerve. This procedure preserves the biomechanics of the hand as incising the TCL is no longer required to provide relief. The inflatable tissue elevator/expander is an FDA approved surgical tool intended for general hand and wrist surgery, including endoscopic access to the carpal tunnel region.
