Aurix (Prod 10570)

About Aurix (Prod 10570)

Aurix is a breakthrough wound care solution that starts and ends with the patient. Unlike other cellular-based treatment options, the Aurix™ gel is derived from a patient’s own platelets and plasma. Once applied, Aurix goes to work, stimulating the formation of tissue to fill in wound defects and help reduce wound volume. The Aurix System™ is used at point-of-care for the safe and rapid preparation of biodynamic hematogel from a small sample of a patient’s own blood. Product preparation and application can be completed in 5 minutes after blood draw, and breaks down into four easy steps.

  1.  Draw It: Take a small amount of the patient’s blood.
  2.  Spin It:  Use the Aurix System centrifuge to separate the platelets (1 minute).
  3.  Mix with additives supplied by the Aurix Reagent Kit (such as ascorbic acid) to produce a golden gel.
  4.  Apply over the entire wound and cover with a clear dressing.
