The PainShield™ MD system is a novel, patch based diathermy therapeutic ultrasound product. It applies ultrasonic energy to generate deep heat within body tissues for the treatment of pain, muscles spasm and joint contractures.
PainShield™ is the first hands free, portable, patch based diathermy device, thus allowing for an entirely new dimension in ultrasound treatment of pain and soft tissue healing.
The PainShield™ consists of a disposable patch connected to a portable reusable driver, and generates ultrasound waves to the desired area of the body. This is made possible due to the company's proprietary technology which allows for the creation of a therapeutic transducer that can be made disposable and incorporated into a patch.
