The Domed Subtalar Implant (Model DSI) is a one-piece, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene implant for the correction of pes plano valgus. The stem of the implant is inserted into a hole in the dorsal surface of the calcaneus just anterior to the posterior facet. The stem of the implant is angled at 60 degrees relative to the plantar surface of the head. This angle facilitates insertion of the implant with the use of cannulated surgical instruments. The device is approved to be fixed with bone cement.
