Diamond shaped, solid, stainless steel nail intended for fixation of fractured femurs
  • Originally patented to the Richards Company in 1949
  • More recently available from Zimmer Orthopaedics
  • According to David Cox, formerly of Zimmer-Cox, it has threaded tips for removal.  If a removal device is not available, it is possible that a Jewett Nail can be threaded onto the Hansen-Street nail for removal.
