XCT 2000 L

About XCT 2000 L

The XCT 2000 L scans a distal radius or tibia site which is primarily composed of trabecular bone. This system utilizes pQCT technology which is a method of accessing bone mineral density which uses multiple cross-sectional x-rays to reconstruct a volumetric model of the bone density distribution. Additionally a diaphyseal site is scanned to obtain information about cortical density and geometry. The examination is easy and comfortable for the patient. Total procedure time is only about 90 s per slice. The measurement dose is less than 2 µSv, and is restricted to the forearm.
