Coblation (Prod 5075)

About Coblation (Prod 5075)

Coblation technology is a controlled, non-heat driven process which uses radiofrequency energy. Instead of exploding tissue structures under high temperatures, Coblation technology gently dissolves target tissue, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue. This process has been used for arthroscopic and spine surgery. PDD or Plasma Disc Decompression is another procedure that utilizes Coblation. PDD is indicated for the treatment of patients with symptoms associated with a contained disc herniation.Previously available from ArthroCare Sports Medicine.
