RealBone patient specific bone models are like holding an exact copy of a patient's bone in your hand. Originating from a patient's CT scan, RealBone models emerge from a 3D software model of the patient's stacked 2D CT slices. COS engineers use our OrthoVis software to quickly digitally segment and separate the desired bone from adjacent bones and soft-tissue. With the software model of the desired bone properly segmented, a full anatomic match of the patient's bone is rapidly manufactured, and a RealBone is created. RealBone models are biocompatible and sterilizable for surgeon use in the operating room ).(ISO 10993 Compliant).
