It may be used in open, minimally invasive or percutaneous procedures with or without assistance of a navigation system.

The AQrate Robotic Assistance System provides to the surgeon a tool that is positioned in space by the robotic arm. It provides user interfaces allowing a surgeon to interact with the robotic system directly from a sterile field. The tool holder integrates sensors which can measure forces and torques applied by the surgeon thus enabling to precisely guide surgical instruments.
