The Speed Shift Continuous Active Compression System is a superelastic Nitinol bone fixation implant with an offset bridge to accommodate uneven bone surfaces that are procedure specific, such as for sliding calcaneal osteotomies. This superelastic implant, with a stepped bridge (available in a range of sizes from 4mm to 12mm) offers the Foot & Ankle surgeon intraoperative options for reconstruction of flatfoot and high arch conditions.
The new Speed Shift System is a patent-pending, fully disposable, pre-sterilized implant & instrumentation system that includes the newly released patent-pending Speed™ Zero-Torque™ Insertion Tool. The Shift offset implant, comes pre-loaded onto the Speed Zero-Torque Insertion Tool. Previously available from BioMedical Enterprises Inc. (BME).
