About GelStix Nucleus Augmentation Implant (Prod 11049)
The GelStix Nucleus Augmentation implant is composed of hydrolyzed polyacrlonitrile (HPAN) in the form of a biocompatible elongated hydrogel wand.
It is inserted through the same needle used to perform a diagnostic discogram or for administration of intradiscal medication - thus sparing the patient a secondary surgical intervention.
The GelStix Nucleus Augmentation hydrates through the absorption of the body's own fluids, bringing permanent hydration and pressure to the diseased disc and restoring it to a more youthful, healthy state.
