PEEK Vertebral Body Replacement (VBR) System

About PEEK Vertebral Body Replacement (VBR) System

PEEK Vertebral Body Replacement (VBR) system is comprised of 2 uniquely designed spacers. These spacers are used to replace a collapsed, damaged, or unstable vertebral body that is resected during partial and total vertebrectomy procedures. Used to restore height of a collapsed vertebral body, our spacers also attain anterior decompression of the spinal cord and neural tissues. The Ethos PEEK VBR spacers are available in different sizes and shapes for use within the thorocolumbar spine. These devices are meant to be used in pairs and only with supplemental fixation as offered in our Ethos Pedicle Screw System.

The Ethos VBR spacers come in a variety of shapes and sizes:

The Ethos X- Spacer has a bullet tipped nose which is designed to aid in distraction during implementation. The geometry of this device allows it to be inserted at a right angle to its intended orientation and then rotated into place. The Ethos X- Spacer can also be impacted into place.
