XBACK SPONDY TLSO

About XBACK SPONDY TLSO

THE XBACK SPONDY TLSO extension brace combines an easy to adjust shoulder strapping system with no hard sternal pads along with a large anterior panel that extends from symphysis pubis to xyphoid thus providing a greater level of anterior stabilization.  The brace is easy for patients to put on, to adjust and to remove, so the comfortable light weight brace encourages compliance with treatment protocols.

The Spondy was designed to give physicians another option for patients rather than a hard sternal pad pushing on the patient’s chest.  A TLSO with a sternal pad can be very uncomfortable for older patients.  XBack Spondy combines shoulder straps that pull the patient into extension without the hard sternal pad in conjunction with the larger anterior pad as an approach to increase the patient’s compliance for physicians prescribing TLSO bracing.

The cut out in the center of the Xback posterior panel increases airflow making the brace cooler, lighter, less bulky and thus more comfortable to wear.  The cut out also reduces pressure on the spine especially for the post-op patient or those receiving injections.  The XBack Spondy straps are anchored directly to the posterior panel of our braces.  As the patient pulls on the adjustable closure system, the panel will mold to the patient’s back regardless of their degree of lordosis.  This offers the patient an increased level of comfortable support while immobilizing the patient from the sacrococcygeal junction to the scapular plane.
INDICATIONS: Compression Fractures, Degenerative Disc Disease, Herniated Discs, Bulging Discs, Post-Surgical Stabilization, Mechanical Lower and Mid-Back Pain, Chronic and Acute Strain associated with Lumbar Instability, Scoliosis, Spondylosis, Spondylolisthesis, and Multi-level Injuries.
