XBACK II

About XBACK II

The XBACK II TLSO extension brace combines an easy to adjust strapping system with no hard sternal pads.  The brace is easy for patients to put on, to adjust and to remove, so the comfortable light weight brace encourages compliance with treatment protocols.

The cut out in the center of the Xback posterior panel increases airflow making the brace cooler, lighter, less bulky and thus more comfortable to wear.  The cut out also reduces pressure on the spine especially for the post-op patient or those receiving injections.  The XBack II straps are anchored directly to the posterior panel of our braces.  As the patient pulls on the adjustable closure system, the panel will mold to the patient’s back regardless of their degree of lordosis.

The Xback II offers an increased level of support with a posterior panel that immobilizes the patient from the sacrococcygeal junction to the scapular plane.  The anterior panel provides intracavitary pressure to reduce load on the intervertebral discs thus reducing pain while promoting healing.

The XBACK II was designed to give physicians another option for patients rather than a hard sternal pad pushing on the patient’s chest.  A TLSO with a sternal pad can be very uncomfortable for older patients.  XBack created the Xback II shoulder straps to pull the patient into extension without the need for a hard sternal pad which increases the comfort of the brace and the potential for patient’s compliance for physicians prescribing TLSO bracing.
