Single-use disposable external fixator designed for the treatment of unstable tibial shaft fractures
Available in two sizes that accommodate most tibial fractures suitable for monolateral external fixation
Designed so that the elasticity of the fixator bar allows a specific amount of cyclical movement on weight bearing to promote the growth of healing callus
Sizes
- IOS fixator short: designed for fracture lengths of less than 44mm
- IOS fixator long: designed for fracture lengths of between 44mm and 84mm
Supplied as an operating kit that comes with
- 1 IOS fixator (long or short)
- 6 set-screws
- 6 collets external diameter 10mm, internal diameter 6mm
- 6 bone-screws, overall length 100mm, thread length; 40mm, tapered 6mm to 5mm
- 1 4.8mm bone drill
All items are single-use only.
