Tree of Andry Sculpture
Cave Folk Creations

The Tree of Andry, once just the international symbol of Orthopaedics since 1741 when Nicholas Andry sketched his now famous icon, is now a bona fide artistic sculpture. Being tree huggers, history buffs and involved in Orthopaedics, two guys in a basement set out to bring the Andry Tree to life with copper welding cable, mined rock, tile saws, diamond core drills and fifteen hours of toil per tree. The result is the 17” by 11” by 8” tree weighing 5-6 pounds and formed after the original Andry drawing representing a great profession and tradition. The sculpture is mounted on a solid wood base and is shipped free in the continental U.S. in a custom designed crate that withstands almost any shipping mistreatment. The tree sells for $450 which includes taxes and shipping in the U.S.A. It is a popular gift for resident and fellow graduations, department entrances, retirements, birthdays, holidays, visiting professorships, orthopaedic industry, and special projects. ***** To order this art piece or to get more information, please click on "Get More Info" above the photograph.
