DETAILED INFORMATION

Orthopaediclist welcomes your participation. We are in the process of listing every product that we can find and intend to list yours even before you so request. The value of your listing, however, depends on you.

There is no charge for a "bare bones" listing which includes only the product name and the name of the manufacturer or supplier.  There is a charge to enhance product listings with photos, complete contact information, click-through to the company website, preferred list position, and detailed information in a PDF or Word format. Fees are charged on a per-product basis with reductions for volume. Please contact us at info@orthopaediclist.com to discuss this in detail.

If you wish to enhance your product with your website hotlink, a preferred list position, a product photograph, and a "technique" or detailed product description, we can do it.  To do so, we will ask you to supply that information to us electronically (in .jpg, .bmp, or .png formats for photographs). Thus, you and we can be certain that the reproduction of your materials is accurate, of the highest quality, and that we have your permission to publish it.

For most subscribing companies with their own websites, "click-throughs" to those sites make them more convenient to users.  Others find that displaying their products on www.orthopaediclist.com gives them sufficient, cost effective Internet presence.

We value small as well as large companies, so, except for subscribers, we do not enhance one over the other.  We position the enhanced products of our supporters higher on our lists and use icons to bring attention to them.

For examples, please click on " EZBones" or look under subcategory "Bone Grafts" under category "Bone & Soft Tissue Grafts"; then click on " EZBones Enhanced " to see what it can look like with complete contact information, a photograph, and some additional information such as a surgical technique.

Having "surgical techniques" on our site is important to our users (your customers). Trauma surgery is typically performed on an urgent, unscheduled basis, often when regular staff are not available. Operating room staff are not always familiar with every trauma implant or device or where to find an instruction manual. We have requests from OR nurses and military surgeons all over the world to provide techniques since such are not always easily available. To have the capacity to view and/or print one from our website, no matter where or when, is appealing. And, it could make a difference in patient care and between your having satisfied versus frustrated customers.  We recognize that many companies have very attractive websites with techniques available, but we have found that ours takes the surgeon more directly to the technique and are striving to become the universal site for this sort of information.

We began building this site in June of 2003, and it will always be a work in progress. We are proceeding in two ways. If you do not see your product listed, we have not yet gotten to the category pertaining to it or we simply haven't found it. For most, we are entering data on what we can find without your help. If you would like to be included and we left you out, please let us know.

For no additional fee, we will add categories for those companies wishing to subscribe to our services before we are scheduled to develop those product categories. Thus, you could be the only company listed until another company subscribes or until we develop that category as a whole. Since we pledge fair and equal treatment to companies of all sizes, we will not offer exclusive listings per se. On the other hand, companies subscribing early will enjoy the advantage of an exclusive listing until that category is developed or expanded.

Although we may someday offer users ways to comment on products, www.orthopaediclist.com makes no attempt to rate products or even to guarantee that they are available. In fact, we will list some products that are no longer being manufactured so that users can discover where they might find product-specific instruments or replacement components if needed. Our pledge and effort is to try to provide a comprehensive list of products that orthopaedic surgeons, operating room staff, and office staff can use to efficiently find what they need.

Our site is service oriented and focused on the user. Like you, we want our information to be accurate and current. If you see where we are in error, please let us know. We welcome your input.
